For some reason, the sign out front says "My Puerto" - probably a non Spanish speaking sign maker... http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/V8qDu7XgGaYePJo_VwBMnA?select=-nZsAsouBN8vsGnRrSE2Gg#-nZsAsouBN8vsGnRrSE2Gg
The address should be: 1319 North Main Street Marion, VA 24354, although there is another address listed on the internet. That address should either get you there or very close. _________________ Jim

I checked with the park today - there is a gas grill - the park provides propane. _________________ Jim

Excellent about the propane.
If Gwen is bringing propane for her deep fryer, I'll leave mine home?
Jim, looks like Jen is coming with us after all. OK if she sleeps on the floor in our room? Her preference. Let me know what to kick in for her. _________________ John & Cathy

Wish you & Darryl could make this one, Paul! Maybe HM6?
Now one from the Dark Side... received an innocuous looking parcel from the mysterious grandiosedelusionary... inside I found
THIS
He told me to wear it... No Fing wedges...Motobricks... He claims a "Mutual Acquaintance" is involved... but what does it all MEAN????
I haven't been able to sleep for days... |

A wedge engine will be fine as long as it doesn't have a remote starter _________________ John & Cathy

Understand your maxed out. does this mean lodging or participants. My previous plans for Tuesday- Saturday just got postponed today. I'd have to leave on Saturday ( gotta go back to work). If there's room for another rider, thought I'd make a run up there and meet you folks if it's not a problem. Camping for me isn't a problem as I still haven't put my gear away from my last ride. Let me know what you think.

David - unless I've missed someone, there is a bunk available in the Lodge. _________________ Jim

!!
Good morning all...
Well its just now hours until HMSP-V and I have waited all year for this to come, pack my gear, load the bike, hit the throttle and be off to Marion ! But unfortunately at this "late hour" it will not be so. I just returned last night from PA where I managed to spend all of my summer riding money on repairs to a "new" home my son has bought, plus the expenses in moving horses and farrier shop equipment to the new location... My 16 year old truck and I limped in late last night and after looking at mostly negative balances there is just no way I can afford another drop of 'over priced' gas even for a 'high mpg' motorcycle.
I think you all know how much I enjoy your company and the many stories and experiences we share,,, and you all know how much I will miss our beloved friend Phil as will each of you. Marion will be there in his place and I hope she gets to see another side of him which meant so much to each of us.
So my friends, enjoy the ride, enjoy each other, ride safe wherever you may go. So "if the creek dont rise" we'll be there next year for sure !
Best regards as always........// Ernie in NH
*** Also a very big THANKS to Jim for all the work he does in securing and insuring that the HMSP K11OG event takes place !! With a guy like Im on your side, you dont need much more to be successful !! _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers
