I've had Motolights on the K for a number of years. When I first got the Motolights, they mounted directly on the fork with a stainless steel strap. Those straps were defective, and were replaced by Motolight.
When Motolight came out with the caliper mount, I switched to the caliper mounts. Motolight shipped longer caliper bolts with the lights. I'm sure the caliper bolts on the K did not get switched when the bike was being put back together (the Motolights have been taken off and put back on a number times) but today when Anton was tightening the Motolight caliper bolt, three threads pulled right out of the caliper.
Fortunately, Anton had longer bolts in stock - about 10mm longer than the ones that were in use. If you have caliper mount Motolights, you might want to check the Motolight caliper bolt and make sure it is long enough to get all the way through the caliper. If you use a bolt that's too long, it will hit the rotor. _________________ Jim
