Hello all, not to sure were to post this so sorry it in the wong place, i need some help with a buzzing noise coming from the petrol tank, have checked out the pump and thats all ok, it seems that someone has buypassed the f/line which return petrol to the tank, the hose has been pushed down into the tank on the l.h.s lowsr point, it stops the buzzing from full tank down to about 1/4 and below this it stars a gain, some time with3/4 full tank it kicks in but if you turn off the key for just secs and restart it stops, have you had this prob or have you heard of it , and how would i fit it for good, thanks for you help in advance monty ps the bike runs very well with good m.p.g Confused

The K bikes are known for a buzzy or whiney fuel pump. The noise gets more pronounced as there is less fuel in the tank to absorb the sound.

This may sound silly, but, have a look at the rubbers at the rear of the tank, and make sure the tank is seated properly. Also if the clips, which are awkward to put on, are there.
Not saying this is your problem, but I had some buzziness which I couldnt track down. When I lifted the tank I noticed that the rubbers which the tank pegs sit down in were knackered. After replacing them, and putting new clips in the buzzing went.

Cheers.

Rich.
