Can't claim any credit for this. Just bought an '85 K 100 RS w/ 43k on clock, wanted to do the splines. Our area is big on airplanes, have two friends in the 'bidness' one owns the hanger, 'Del', [designer of following] the other 'Tony' an excellent mechanic.
Problem was, no way to secure the bike w/ my Sam's club lift.

If you tied the handlebars forward to the post you wouldn't have needed the stand under the engine _________________ K1100RS '97

You still would have needed something to prevent the body of the bike from rotating on the steering head bearings if all you had locked down was the wheel and forks. _________________ Ride safe.

Or a "come along" from the rear frame straight up to an overhead support member- then no jack needed.
But how you did it looks very functional- nice work. _________________ John & Cathy

Sounds/looks like my 1st job. Sandbags against the back garage wall and support from above.
I've since improved the work space with a table lift. _________________ Ride safe.
