It looks to me like his last post was over a month ago and it implied a sudden departure. _________________ '02 - GL1800

I have noticed too
Someone mentioned he had left the building...
He rides with JO and he also left in a sudden pique..
Geee ... he must be over at ADV or something.
I noticed he was doing a few holiday runs.
Man what a great wrench ... I hope he's just on a break.
Come on Duck |

Just looked over the last posts.
Seems that some sort of hassle with 'number 6' really got up his nose, so to speak.
Geee I am sorry, the Flying Duck is one of the most competant and
communicative and downright helpful K people I have ever known.
He knows more, in his little finger, about K bikes, than I am ever likely to.
I can't believe he has left for good, truly not.
He accounts for nearly a fifth of all the posts ever posted at the K11OG forum!
A talented and passionate rider, adventurer and wrench. |

Yeah, he's a tome of knowledge for sure, not to mention a helpful and nice guy.
I've had the pleasure of riding with him once. The only time I've ridden with another K11LT.
Hopefully, he just needs a break. _________________ M N B

After my K1100RSSE burned to the ground in Chattanooga I returned to secure another motorcycle to ride to the Hungry Mother Rally.
In the mean time Hollywood BMW called to say my K1600 was ready for pickup. I picked it up last week and rode to the Rock Store in the Santa Monica Mountains.
I met the Flying Duck there. Come to find out he is the one that passed me on that K1 last month north of Tuscon. We exchanged pleasantries before he departed for Seattle.
Very nice and knowledgeable young man. I think he is riding extensively and doesn't have time for the Internet right now. _________________ Communique via Garmin ZUMO 665 via HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 via The Spoken Word Talk to Text |

WOW that's a dang shame, please let us know exactly what happened.
Maybe something any one of us need to guard against.
Presumably a fuel leak or?....
Glad to hear FD is out there and enjoying himself doing what he loves
Thanks for that and thanks for the goodly forum |

I think "grandiose" and "delusionary" say it all.
"delusion |diˈloō zh ən|
noun
an idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder : the delusion of being watched"
Drake has apparently left K11 for another forum. _________________ Jim

OTG puts it succintly:

Too right OTG.
He could assemble that bike blindfolded.
Still we should be able to make good by pooling resources as usual.
There are his posts and lotsa savvy still here.
I am just adjusting my valves and have changed all filters and fluids on the brick.
Lovely bikes
Talking to a friend today at the gym and he just traded his brick for a hog, his missus wanted the change, he is regretting the move to a HUGE bike that redlines at 4 and half thou.
All the best folks |

He does have a website and an e-mail. I am sure if we contact him privately with issues he will respond. Sure is a shame to lose someone that knowledgeable over a little scuffle, but when you know something, and someone tells you you do not it can get to you. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

That's right John.
I would have been mighty p!@@## Off too
FD would have taken apart dozens and dozens of bricks and ordered hundreds if not thousands of parts and filled as many orders in his parting out business.
I just thought he was a mighty fine Fellow and am very sorry to see him go being struck down by something like that..
Oh well just gotta get up and dust off and keep plugging away |

I will miss him greatly.
Yes, I can still call him if I want, however my life, like all of ours, is full as hell and time spent on forums is limited.
That and I've invested heavily in this site both with the posts I've made and the friends I've made.
I just don't have the time or energy to invest in yet another forum. I'm very active on 5 forums and lurk in 4 others and do FB. Plus add to that I'm trying to get Wrenching Wenches off the ground.
I wish him nothing but the very best in all his endevours.
I love you Drake. You made me feel like family here and made me laugh out loud more often than you know.
Ride with joy dear. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

He has started a new site. Motobrick.com I read about it over at ADV. A huge loss for this site... _________________ Lifes too short to ride an ugly Motorcycle |

I agree....but I was lamenting more at the need to be splintered. The fracturing. But I guess you can't please everyone.
All I know is that I love all you idiots more than Bigfoots foot.
