My fuel gauge on my K1100rs used to oscillate all over the place so I bought another from ebay the needle now is calm but reads wrong, any way to calibrate it or any other suggestions?

Get into the tank and bend the float arm to satisfaction.

also check the 4pin connector at the right rear of the tank. make sure the contacts are clean and not corroded.
