Damned if I'd pay that for any '74 bike with a missing mirror and scuffed exhaust! _________________ Jim

Got up to $95,000 and still didn't make reserve. Shooting to high in a hurting economy. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Having a Ducati in the garage, 3 years ago I joined "Ducati.ms"- one of the leading Ducati forums.
These people are REALLY into their bikes. Some of the contributors have a dozen or more bikes in their garage, most have several.
The Ducati on ebay is a bevel drive engine and these are becoming the motorcycle version of A.C. Cobras. Owners of these bikes do not tend to sell them so any on the market in this condition command really big $$.
Apparently that '74 was bid up to $95,000 and did NOT hit the reserve. And from what I read on Ducati.ms the collection has some other Ducatis to auction that will command even higher reserves, like a MHR (Mike Hailwood Replica)- BIG BUCKS.
And you thought K bike owners were dedicated, eh? _________________ John & Cathy
