Still tearing into the '95. Currently working on rebuilding master cylinder, but since we had to remove the throttle grip, decided to look into the non-functioning heater.
Wire connections are good, but one of the wires had an abraded covering; we suspect that it may be shorting to the handlebar.
Any suggestions for a silicone-like dab to over the abraded area? Any drawbacks?

How about a little bit of heat shrink wrap. Usually you can pick up some small stuff at Radio Shack. _________________ Ride safe.
