Greetings inmates !!
I have recently re-acquired my old 93' K1100RS - it badly needs new tyres.
Years ago when I sold it I ran PR3's and was delighted with them but they're no longer available. I never liked Bridgestone, Avon, Dunlop or Pirelli's but would be interested to hear your views.
I run the newer Michelin PR's on most of my machines and find them excellent for Irish weather and slimy road surfaces.
Can anyone suggest decent "still available" tyres to shod my K1100RS with in 2025 ?
Many thanks _________________ Current bikes:

| I find first you have to decide what area and distances you would be travelling. Myself I do mostly our hills areas and short open plain areas. My K1100RS has a K1200 rear rim which doesn’t affect brand. I prefer Michelin on the front for all areas. My Bridgestone rear has done around 10,000 klms. Not far to go. I’m impressed. Hope this helps. |

I will not be able to contribute to suggestions currently, but I appreciate you asking here to initiate the discussion, costellon.
I was planning on a long overdue tire swap on my K11RS this fall and had just assumed it was going to be the latest Michelin PR version, as I have been very happy with that line for this bike as well.
Your question had me checking to confirm that Michelin has nothing current for the stock RS sizes. Unfortunately you appear to be correct.
You stated you don't care for Pirelli but I see the Angel GT seems to be a fairly well reviewed current option on sport tourers. I have no experience with those personally, as the Mich PR line had been serving my needs so well. I'd be interested to hear if anyone here has experience with the Angels on their K. _________________ Niemand

I've run Bridgestone T32s for years on all of my Ks (including my K1600GT) and swear by them. Was a PR fan before that.
I was in Idaho a few years go when my K1100LT tread got low and the only tires I could get were Angel GTs. They were OK but on tar snakes over 80 degrees F the front tire got a little squirrely. It probably wasn't really dangerous but it was disconcerting. Because of that I would not buy them again.

Thanks for the first hand info on the Angels and T32 recommendation, FD.
Looks like the newer T33s are taking over in stock RS sizing. I will check them out. _________________ Niemand
