OK, my 93 with ABS is the topic.
ABS unfunctional, after a few troubleshooting episodes. Want to, maybe this spring, pull the ABS system/ piping aka plumbing.
Why am I thinking, maybe not thinking, if I purchase a SSteel kit for a non ABS K11 of my vintage is an easy way of getting all I need in a package deal, for the conversion. ? This seems too easy.

If you want to just get rid of the ABS, you could certainly do that. Never looked to see if there's a non-ABS kit available.
Or, if it's the module, you can send it off to Module Masters (Idaho) - they fix, rebuild, repair modules... they also sell refurbished modules on ebay.
"Recently was in need of a BMW ABS-DSC Module. I acquired it through eBay from Module Masters. Ordered it on Tuesday, it arrived on Thursday. I installed it, coded it and my lights were out and ABS was fully operational." random internet review _________________ Jim

Steve- where are you in NH? I am just above the Franconia Notch.
Before you eliminate the ABS, have you looked at everything?
A '93 K-RS, huh? Color? And, if you don't mind, where did you buy it?
I do all my own work on my '92 K bike. In my garage I have a lift and a pretty good shop set up. My previous K1100RS was a '93. _________________ John & Cathy

Hi guys...
Hey,, thanks for reviving this ABS topic... I've got taped over lights and a non functional ABS that I got to work again for a brief period of time... BUT NOW, this reminder is telling me to get my ABS II to Module Masters !
Best regards all,, Spring is almost here!!

I got fed up with the ABS and removed it years ago. Took off 20-25 lbs of hardware. Only remember buying a new rear brake line. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Re removal...
At Progressive the ABS drops my premium by $100 plus I like the added feeling of "control" for safety reasons.. I'm going to do the rebuild trick at Module Master....$350...... even though I gave serious thought to doing exactly what BobZ did. That ABS-2 is the worst!
Best to all.... Ride Safe.../ Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers
