This is the first time I have seen the "cut" on the snapring cut the wrong way for easy removal. On both of my legs the point is in the groove, I just finished one leg, and not looking forward to fighting on the second leg to get the snap ring out.
I finally got the first "started" with a sharpened bicycle spoke. A bicycle spoke, huh, and I have about 30 different size drift pins/etc.
Any one know of a aftermarket two holed ring for replacement?
Do we dare to use a replacement ?

It's really not that bad once you have the technique down. I use two small regular (flat head) screwdrivers. I use on end the end that doesn't have the point sticking out to keep it from rotating and the other screwdriver to pick out the pointy end. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

That is the way I have always done it to, and I have a 10 wheeler load of screwdrivers, but could not get behind it with any. So your being familiar with the ends point in, there is probably nothing for me to gain by buying new snap rings. Funny though, in the other K11 forum, some member posted a pic that shows the points towards the inside on his K11, similar to what I am used to.

Well I liked the fact that the right leg had the snapring cut the "right" way, once I checked it out with a work light before starting.
First, I cannot understand why different amounts of fluid go in each fork, the guts are look identical ,without measuring component sizes, in my eyes.
Second, anyone need the stock springs and spacers ? ( 8200 miles! ) _________________ 96 K1100 LT--gone
