First of all Hi All. New to the world of BMW but until the below was loving it!

Now the issue 1995 K1100rs I have done about 1500 miles on it since I bought it no issues.
Putting it away I noticed a squeak from the rear wheel, on investigation I discovered the rear wheel is rubbing the swingarm on the pivot side.
I have given the wheel a wiggle and cant feel any play.
Took the wheel and replaced it several times, still the same result!
Do I need to go looking in the hub?

Thanks in advance
Paul

Is there a spacer that looks like this between the wheel and final drive? There should be.

When you removed the wheel, were there any "spacers" or 'shims'? They would be 2mm thick. You should have at least 1. BMW # 36311451791

What size tires are you running?
The stock sizes for an RS are:
Front 120/70-17 on a 3.5" wide rim
Rear 160/60-18 on a 4.5" wide rim

What air pressure are you running at.

Does the wheel/tire rotate 'true' when you spin it on the hub.

You stated that the wheel is rubbing. Did you mean that the tire is rubbing?

Have you closely inspected the tire?

I doubt that it is a bearing issue. However, since its been several weeks since the last post, what have you found?
