Just signed up to the forum after being given the "heads up" from a contact re spares. Own a 1995 Mystic red K1100RS which I use for general commuting in all weathers. Bought the bike for £850 with around 65000 miles recorded and a shed load of receipts for parts etc totalling over £3500 so thought it would be a safe buy. Since owning her, I've changed all fluids, front brake lines, rear shock, seat, fork seals to make sure she continues to be the reliable workhorse I need. Also fitted a Gadget Guy Sat Nav kit to the top screen fixings. A nice piece of kit and puts the sat Nav just where I want it. Having the K11RS allows my other 5 bikes to stay in the garage through the worst of the winter!
General thoughts are very positive. The bike is quick enough, handles well but is no "scapel" in the bends. Speedo shows 140 when asked (private roads only of course) and is economical to run. Does anyone really need more than the K11 offers?
In the future, I'm keen to upgrade the rear shock from its current Hagon, investigate improving the front forks and basically keep riding her and perhaps even try her on a track next year.
Any members passing through Lincolnshire, the kettle is always on!

Looking forward to the site helping me improve my knowledge and care of the old girl (the K11 not the wife!).

Bob

Welcome from the other side.

You chose well. The Mystic Red RS bikes are definitely the fastest, bestest of all of the classic K bikes.

Hey Bob- WELCOME!

I had a '93 K-RS that I sold in a moment of madness.

Now I have settled for a '92 that is almost as fast. Laughing

But the R is faster, isn't it?
