If your old one lasted 8 years, I'd buy one just like it. _________________ 2004 R1150RT 186,800 miles

Do you use a battery tender? If so, you might pay attention to what batteries it's appropriate for. Battery technology has changed considerably since K bikes were new. Using the wrong tender will cook a better. If, the AGM lasted 8 years, you got your money worth, I'd buy another. _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

I would suggest Motobatt. And I used a tender as well. Sold the bike and it was still fine. Would avoid BikeMaster, it died early. _________________ 93 K1100RS (2up)

I ruined 4 Odyssey batteries in a row - using the wrong charger. Supposedly, a Battery Tender does not put out enough power for an Odyssey. Rich has the magic touch!
I've given other chargers away - including Battery Tenders - and switched to Noco chargers - which seem to work very well with Odyssey - and just about everything else.
That said, I'm using Odyssey batteries in most of the bikes now. _________________ Jim

Odyssey for me.
I've had no problems using them with Battery Tender Juniors. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
