As the subject says.
So far i have checked leads, side stand switch continuity, plugs cleaned with thinners and baked in the oven to dry out even though they looked good, spark checked on leads, checked for errors with the computer, reseated connectors around the bike, but still no go. It will give an occasional cough but nothing more. Any fresh ideas to go to? She worked fine when parked but no more.

Does the fuel pump whir for a sec or two to pre-pressurize the fuel system?

When's the last time you replaced the fuel filter?

I went and bought a new set of plugs. What i found is, the plugs on the bike required an 18mm socket, the new plugs needed a 16mm socket. The plug lrads were not connecting properly as they coujld seat all the way. She now starts and runs again. I guess they had a heacy shove to get the on, but loosened off when riding but still ran until everything cooled off.
I think some creative language may have helped as well 😇

I have only had the bike for a few weeks. I am still learning and fixing as i go. I dont know the full service history as i wasnt given service records, i was suposed to have been serviced by a bmw specialist in Canberra. So far, things look to be in reasonable order with clean fluids.

Its not easy, but at some point you might want to check your injectors. Clean the area with air, at least, so as not to introduce filth into the engine.

Remove the injectors from the block leaving them in the rail.

Rig a piece of cardboard and with the injectors a few inches above the cardboard's surface crank the engine a few times. Now you can see the pattern of the fuel spray. Of course, they should all look about the same. If one or two show signs of inhibited fuel flow have them cleaned.

New OEM injectors are very expensive. There is an aftermarket alternative, as I recall about US$75, but cleaning is a good way to go - just find an outfit that also cleans the filter in the injector. Injectors don't wear out - at least that's my understanding - they just get dirty. You'll need new sealing o-rings, too, of course. There is an outfit here in the states mentioned in this forum, I think in Oregon. I'll look for it and post a link if you like.
