While replacing the right side cover I managed to break the center mount ( sort of u shaped plastic that clips on the post on the frame.)

I tried a quick epoxy repair that didn't work.

Anyone had any luck fixing one of these or am I looking at a new side cover.

Thanks \\Mike

I have same problem, have tried so far with a fibreglass resin and Matt, 2 pack epoxy and hot melt, none have worked.
I doubt you'll find a complete cover, but always worth looking.

You can find them on eBay for about $75 for a complete cover. I had to buy one of a different color and paint it. Be careful, there are a LOT of ones for sale with a broken clip like yours.

I did read about someone fiction one by taking a nylon cable clamp, and cutting it into the C shape, then epoxying it on.

If you do a search on "another side panel repair" authored by me in 2010 you will find a very detailed description of a mechanical repair that will survive almost anything. I still have both my side panels hanging on my 93 K1100LT today and have had zero issues.

I would post a link to it, but I'm not that smart.

Thanks for the replies, I found the link on the motobrick site and tried the magnet fix. I put 1500 miles on the bike in the last 5 days and still have my sidecover. (Rode the brick to the Desmo Times Ducati maintenance seminar.)
