Thanks to all who made the effort to attend HM IX. We had great weather (probably the best to date), good rides and a good time.

Unfortunately, due to the number of early departures, I regret to inform you that HM X is cancelled.

Sure.

You just want to stay home and polish the RT. Laughing

You know that paint is only so thick Jim.

Sad Sad

Good morning everyone...

I hope everyone has gotten away in good shape, and will get home fully energized.!

I had to miss one year due to neck surgery, and this year due to having a non-rideable bike... and now Jim says there will be No HMSP-X... What's the deal, I hope he's just pulling our leg..?

Regards all... ride safe.... / Ernie in NH

Hey Ernie, you don't think Jim V. would be less than truthful here, would you?

No, this weekend we started preliminary plans for HMX as we have begun to call it. Being Hungry Mother number 10, we are hoping for a good turnout and may have some exclusive HMX stuff for those who attend.

Plus some human sacrifice if things really get going. Laughing

You let me know if I can help with your K bike. We need you there for the HMX-travaganza

Very Happy Very Happy

Hi John...

Glad you made it back on time.. normal "work day" tomorrow...

Re the cancelation : We'll,, Jim always carries an annual debt for all of us regarding the HMSP registration/booking fee, and as always we drag out our individual paydown of that debt to him as long as possible for any number of good reasons.. I thought, well maybe "push has finally come to shove", and he said "eff-it"...... but then again I know he's great to spoof all of us from time to time. Having been unable to be present, I wasn't sure which was which.. Good to know that I'll see all of the HM'ers scruffy faces again next year for sure.!!

Relative to the HM-X potential "sacrifices".... I do have several unused vestal virgins stashed somewhere that I've been saving for just such an event... Then there's also the whole ox roasting spit that I brought with me from Germany should I ever need it.... whatever the case, I'm sure the " planning Committe will let me know...should we need either.!

Relative to the K, I more than appreciate your offer to help, but there are no mechanical problems, torque arm bolt seems secure, and Schrader Valves functioning as they should..... this year it was simply not having the wherewithal to replace the worn tires, coupled with the "care and feeding" of grandchildren during the conflicting (ie: dreaded) school-vacation week..!

At any rate, my $$check for HM-X will be in the mail to Jefferson Ave. this coming week.

Once again, really happy that all the HM'ers had great weather, great rides, and great fellowship... for some reason, I know Phil enjoyed it too.!

Be well.... ride safe... / Ernie in NH
