Came home today to find some douche bag had stolen my 12' VLow trailer wth 4 bikes inside!

This is not a small cheesy hauler, who ever did it needed a 350 size truck... I had the tongue locked as well as the lift locked.

They hooked it up with chains and draged down my driveway leaving a 2 inch gash down the whole driveway...

Seems to have been a tow truck of some sort...I don't think they knew the bikes were inside and not tied down...they are sure to have ended up in a pile shortly after moving it...

Gone...

Oh CRAP.

I sort of understand how pissed it makes you. Jen (our daughter in California) and her fiance, Brian, have been the victims of several thefts while living out there.

Two mountain bikes (both were securely locked)
Brian's R6 ECU
2 backpacks with laptops ( locked in a vehicle)

Not as much in $$ as your loss but it is just the rage at some ahole taking something that you earned.

Sorry for your loss. DAMN.

Security cameras - I have to get them, too.

That really bites. Hopefully Karma and the law will catch up with them eventually.

It, and the bikes in it, all had VINs so I hope you filed them stolen with law enforcement and insurance.

I put a chain and lock thru my trailer wheels along with a tongue lock. Doesn't sound like enough now.. Sad

I live in a town of 550 people.

A few years ago we started to lock the doors of our home.

Wish it never came to this.

Mad Mad Mad

Hey Abreise...

Man-o-man..! I am really depressed and equally pissed off at your loss.. That had to be quite an effort on the thieves part to snitch a very difficult load like that... they deserve no less than a few hours of "rubber hose" therapy to say the least, BUT that doesn't help to get your bikes or trailer back..

Hoping you get some compensation for this brazen theft...

Regards.... / Ernie in NH

Abreise,

Sorry for your loss man. That sucks.

11 years ago my car was stolen from the parking lot at work. I was pleasantly surprised that I could negotiate way above "blue book" price with my insurance company since I had kept my wheels in great shape. I applied the money towards a new car which I'm still driving today. So the upgrade ended up being a silver lining to the theft.

Hope things work out for you....

Sanjiv
P.S. Someone mentioned cameras. I've installed NEST cameras (approx $200 each) around my house and am very happy with them. You own them outright and do not pay any recurring fees (unless you want online recording). I can see my house and my fish pond on my iPhone even when I'm traveling. The cameras support two way audio so I can talk to my bird and calm her down if she is freaking out at home. Highly recommended.
