While looking around for ignition and charging system upgrades for the R100RT, I ran across this tasty (made in Germany - of course) motorcycle tidbit:

Some of the peripherals for the m-Unit are a little cheaper at Revival than Amazon - not much - but I'd rather support a classy bike shop in Austin than line Jeff Bezo's pockets (anymore than I already do).

Video shows a dead short on the system that cuts (in this case) the headlamp off. As soon as the short is removed, the unit resets and the headlamp is back on. Cool stuff!

It'll probably be awhile before I can tinker with it... I still have to find the parts for your hitch - I think I know where they are...
