I stand corrected IngeK from Norway,
I was misinformed by a supposed expert. ... Research shows that it does maintain the relative pressure between inlet manifold and fuel rail

Update. Changed the fuel filter and all seems to be good. I've been through two tanks of gas and it's back to it's normal low fuel level whining... Now it's developed a leaking fork seal . Ah well, I didn't have any plans for Saturday anyway. _________________ 93 K1100RS

Plenty of info available on the K11OG re: fork seals if you haven't done them before. _________________ John & Cathy
