I have seen where some guys on here have had cracked exhaust headers welded ,, I have the front two pipes completely broken off at the end where the four come together,, anyone have success repairing them this way?
I'm wondering if it is possible to cut out a section and weld them from the inside then weld the section back on ,,,unless I can get one at a reasonable price,,, anyone got one to spare? Thanks : Hilton

We all have the same issue.
Solutions:
-buy a remus, hopefully you'll like the extra noise
-have it welded with reinforcement

Hilton - if you get it welded, make sure the welder makes a jig to hold everything in place - otherwise you'll be buying a Remus anyway.

You can find whole exhausts, in good shape on E-Bay for under $200 USD. You just have to keep watch for one in good shape. About 8 years ago knowing how these may crack I picked up an almost new exhaust for under $100. It is in my attic waiting for the day.

Which means you'll never need it. My spare is hanging on the living room wall as art... I'll never need it - I have a Remus...

Seems like a number of people have had them successfully welded as long as they were properly reinforced.

This one has been welded before, upon further examination I see where one of the pipes has been cut to allow the back side to be done then patched back in,,I'll try anything once ,,I think with proper reinforcing it can hold,,nothing ventured ,, nothing learned...
