Anybody find rain pants that really work? Like you could sit in a bucket of water (my K1100 seat) and stay dry? The only way I've been able to stay dry requires wearing riding over-pants over jeans and Frogg Toggs on top.

While not exactly what you are asking about, the "official" and $$$ BMW one piece rainsuit is NOT the answer.

Both Cathy and I have one and while it prevents the butt puddle for a longer period of time, it does happen. And the suit does not breathe, so you get wet inside anyway.

But I have read some good things about FrogTogs, so maybe we need to get Scott to sit down in the shower as a test. Laughing

My Motoport rain liners haven't let me down yet. The other think I did to address a different problem but it would help with wet butt is a bead seat to keep you up out of the puddle.

I have ridden through some nasty rain (to the point of stopping because I could not see) and have stayed dry in my Tourmaster 2 pc rain gear. It is not cheap and does not pack small but it has never let me down.

I've had 2 sets of FroggToggs and both leak when immersed in the butt puddle. Not really bad leaks, but enough to incite my colleagues to harrassment. My leathers do a better job of repelling rain, but I try not to get them wet.

Truth is, I use my Frogg Toggs mostly on Hungry Mother trips, but it's definitely worth it. Very Happy

Nope, there's no such thing, mainly because it's either not raining here or it's a deluge so I have given up even trying. Wallet and phone go into a ziplock bag and the daks just get wet.

Oh hi, I'm back after a vacation from K11OG, Had to rebuild half the house and yard for my sons 21st birthday party.... Man what a lot of work. Time to go riding again Smile

I've been using Frogg Toggs for the past ten years on my bikes and have been pretty much satisfied. They do keep one pretty dry and don't cause sweating. They also are light weight and pack down in a small stuff bag so don't use up too much saddlebag space.
