Have not been on in a while but i now have bought a two wheeled K bike ! a 1989 K100RS as in here :
I had the intention of adding a Watsonian Palma sidecar as in :
But I am going to add the sidecar now to a 1972 Sanglas 400T which I am restoring:
I am really liking driving the K100 but I would like to fix the ABS on it so i will be on again soon looking for the Forums wisdom on this topic
Regards

Hi Bill and Welcome.
Good source of info here:
http://www.k11og.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=12
which will lead you here:
http://largiader.com/abs/absfault.html
Also the Site Search will help you find forum posts not in the Stickies
I'm anxious to see the restore on the Sanglas!
We Yanks don't often see machines like that.

Thanks for the reply Bill , thats a good article the Largiader one and gives me some starters , I know the front brake light switch is not working so i will start there ,
As for the Sanglas its existence in Ireland is because the Irish army in the early 1970's bought about 150 of them and quite a few are still rattling around , I had one back in the early 80's which I clocked up a good few miles on and even drove as far as Holland via the UK in 1990 :
I regret ever selling that one and that is why I bought this current one to restore , at the minute I have sent off the frame and some parts for powder coating and am rebuilding the engine to make sure all is ok its a 420cc pushrod single with old fashioned features like a full chaincase , shrouded forks , sump guard , sidecar lugs on the frame etc. the 400T was a kind of Police and Army version of the basic bike here is video of firing it up before the strip down it had sat in a back garden for 10 years prior to this ! a carb clean and fresh juice did the trick apologies for the Blair Witch kind of video ! but I was fiddling around trying to fire it up :

That's a very sharp looking K bike! Congrats.
You certainly have an interesting collection going there. How's the Grinnall do? Got any pix?
Good luck with your project! _________________ Jim

Hello Jim I have not posted in a while prior to this but working on the K100RS has brought me back on-line and its a relief to see the site is still active with familiar names about to help and advise .. The Grinnall I have for seven years now and is still my pride and joy driving it still brings the big grin factor every time :
Here is the business end in the midst of a clutch replacement :
The back end is entirely K series with an offset smaller car type wheel , It goes very well and feels on the road like a track racing go-kart I have brought it to track days here in Ireland where it looses out on power but braking and cornering are very good ,
I am very happy with the RS so far and some good weather will be very welcome to give it a good spin ....
Regards
