About a year old, cheer when the come out with their first word, 2 or 3 a fiver for their first proper swear word, 4 onwards, spend hours / day telling them to shut up. Teenager, they regress, caveman grunts. Seems like no time at all, the pattern repeats with the grandBrats.
Insanity is hereditary you get it from your kids.
Cracked me up when my son recently told me he now realises what a little bastard he had been as a child
