Buyer/seller Beware:

Fraud complaint about a buyer named Bobby Chung with email address bchung714@verizon.net.

To protect the innocent and identify the correct person, here’s the buyer’s (partial) mailing address:

Bobby Chung
XXXX Richardson St
Winchester, MA 01890

On May 8, 2012, buyer purchased a seat for his BMW motorcycle, took delivery then apparently complained to PayPal about not receiving the item, which created a chargeback.

Here's how this guy operates. Below is our correspondence where he lied to me why there was a chargeback and of course failed to send money to cover it to perhaps buy time. He probably knew I had a limited window of opportunity to contest the chargeback, which by then was drawing to a close. Earlier, with the seat installed, he sold his motorcycle and obviously had no intention of paying me.

Jun 27th was his last reply and he later failed to respond to my final message on July 10th. That was eight weeks after I sold him the seat and four weeks AFTER he sold his motorcycle.

On June 9th, Bobby Chung “kj6304” sold his motorcycle according to his ad (with photos) here on K11 Owners Group:

http://k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11182

PayPal resolved and closed this case on Oct 23rd, 2012 by reversing the buyer’s chargeback of $94.85.

----- last email correspondence on July 10th went unanswered ------

Hi Bobby,

It's been two weeks and no check. Please contact me soon, or I'm left with no choice but to proceed with a PayPal resolution to counter the chargeback to my PayPal account of $95.85 later on Today.

Hi,
Sorry but I have discovered that my credit was being compromised and reported it to my bank and paypal.
So for security reason they have frozen my account and canceled all paypal transaction and refunded the money to my credit card.
Please send me your address so I can send you the payment and I apologized for the inconvenience.
Best wishes & regards

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

How are you? How is the seat working out for you?

I just got this message from PayPal that involves your credit card. For some odd reason they reversed the charge and drew out of my PayPal account. Are you aware of this and can explain this? Perhaps there is some sort of confusion about this matter, which involves the BMW seat I sold to you on May 8, 2012 via PayPal…
…here are some details regarding the amount:
$19.05 USPS Parcel Post from zip 98XXX to 01890
$75 Seat
$.80 tracking/delivery confirmation
-----------
$94.85 total

BTW, it seems kj6304 is a fly-by-night. My intent is to post this warning on the internet, he probably will not show up here again since he sold his K11. Here's his profile with only 4 posts:

Was all contact done by e-mail? I always leave my phone # in my responces and always try to talk live with a person if possible. I once owned a free online classified for motorcycles and had to shut it down cause of all the scammers out there. Internet is a great thing till people use it to take advantage of trusting people.

Yes, only email & PM. Might have helped to judge a buyer's sincerity with a phone call, but that all depends on how slick they are.
