Afternoon All
I've been lurking here for a while - researching the K11 - but I have waited for my first post until I actually owned one.
This morning, I traded my 2008 Gilera GP800 for a 1993 K1100LT
It's in good condition having only had 2 previous owners - and the 73,000 miles on the clock can be reduced by 18,000 as it had a new engine fitted in 1994 - presumably under warranty. It's got main dealer stamps for servicing up to 60,000 miles.
It wouldn't start when I went to test ride it - so it's now had a new battery and fuel pump before I took delivery.
The clincher for me was that it's already got RS wheels (and fat radials) on it.
Pictures follow when it stops raining ! _________________ Terry

Terery,
WELCOME. Good choice for a bike. Many of us here take some time to fully sort a K out and make it our own.
Best of luck with it and many happy kilometers.

Cheers
Yes, I've got a list !
No 1 is to get some washers under the bars.
Fitting the billet mounts was the first thing I did to my R1100RS a few years ago too - I hate the rubber mounted bars. _________________ Terry

And here it is.
Part of the plan was to reduce to one bike - so now it's time to sell the K75

Terry,
Looks GREAT! Nicely turned out.
I agree, the "rubber bars" are annoying- I did the bar mount mod to my K-RS which had much less flex- now it is really solid.
Now go ride that bike!
