Home.
Just pulled in at 7:45. 14 and 3/4 hours. Would have been faster but (!@#X%$&!!) crawling traffic before the Tappan Zee Bridge put us behind 1/2 an hour.
But Jen did a large amount of the driving.
Anyway, thanks to all for HM5. The three of us had a really good time. Great people and eats plus fun roads. Who could ask for more?
Well, looks like we have asked for more- more HM and I'm also in for an additional day. _________________ John & Cathy

Home safe and sound. 9.5 hours of fun riding, last 15 minutes light rain. I'll take that.
Great seeing old friends again and meeting new ones. Hope we can do it all again next year. Great rides this year and decent weather.
Many thanks to you organizers, great food and accommodations as usual. _________________ '93 K1100LT

HOME!!
We took 16 south to the Blue ridge Parkway, and then stoped at Black Balsam to let Phil's ashes catch a ride on the wind......Ken had never met Phil, but had a good understanding of his persona after spending the weekend with everyone at HMSP.....420 miles in 10 hours.......
Great to see everyone again....Godspeed Phil.......

I rolled in at 8:20Pm CST time. Left about 9:15 AM EST.
730 miles. I get an hour back, so that's just over 10 hours of brutal slab & dodge em to get home.
The bike felt a bit more vibration at my regualr lucky 77 today, so 83 was the new norm with several wicks to the ton when space was needed. After all it only takes a blink.
No driving awards and only one close call. I don't think he could get turned around fast enough to come after me.
Heavy rain that I clocked at 50 miles across just south of Chicago. Then it cleared, but I ran into more again 20 minutes from home.
Temps from 58 this morning to 88 in Indiana, and 50 and wet arriving home.
Best to all and hope everyone else is home safe too. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

Yep, I'm home too.
Pulled in around 7:45 central after starting around 05:00 eastern.
941 miles, 14hrs 15min in the saddle time.
At 0500 the fog was pretty dense for about the 1st 100 miles, then as the sun came up it burned off. Other than about 2 miles of a nice light spring shower around Pioria IL, it was a dry day.
Count me in also for the extra day next year.
Very big thank you's to Cathy, Gwen, and Marion for the meal planning. Drop me a pm and let me know how much to chip in for the groceries.
Bed time for me now too. _________________ Ride safe.

Short ride here - no pix... Left at noon got back at 6:30 - three 20 minute stops. Traffic sucked (of course).
It was great to see everyone from past HMSPs - and to meet some first timers - Cathy, Steven and Donna, David, Marian, Steverino, and Ken.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that we were honoured that Steven and Donna (the Ultimate K bike riding couple) made the trip out for HMSP V on their very snappy looking K bike. If we were an award giving group, Steven and Donna would get the farthest distance traveled award.
Thank you to all who made the effort to attend - you're the reason this is such a cool event.
Gwen - you totally outdid yourself. Take a break next year - just show up on the Blue Streak...
A big thanks to all the cooks and helpers - there was more than enough food.
My sincere apologies about the propane - I thought we had a full tank. I found out before I left they would have delivered another tank within minutes, and we can request a second tank when we arrive next year. _________________ Jim

Well, we didn't get 500 miles today. We stopped in Morristown and wanted to tour the Crockett home, but it was closed - BUMMER, but we did walk around and see where Davy was raised, Love that history stuff. We made it to just west of Nashville, big storm right as we went in to see "The Avengers". Great movie.
Thought I'd post a couple pics, more on the blog..
Thanks for all the hard work Gwen...
Days 7,8 & 9 up on my blog

Hit 180 miles of light rain & truck spray today on I 40 between Nashville & Memphis. Then it cleared up as soon as we crossed the Mississippi river into Arkansas, made it to Russellville, Chinese buffet & crapped out! Did pass another 1000 miles !

You are welcome...it was a fun ride and I swore off large group rides years ago. This one was not bad!
I did not slow down...much.
