I have been having problems with the stuttering/shuttering/hesitation while running my 1994 K1100 RS at just about any speed or RPM.
I replaced the fuel filter, and thought I may have had pinched the fuel hose during installation. I'm told the test for a bad fuel filter is to blow through the filter and the air should move freely. The filter that come out did restrict me blowing air through it. I purchased new hoses and was going replace them today. I replaced it with a suggested car fuel filter. I took the tank filter cap out and started the bike without the cover on to look for possible air leaks in the fuel line.
I noticed somehting that I have not noticed before and am wondering if anyone can confirm this is a NON issue.
The fuel seems to be showering down the inside of the throttle side of the tank.
I have posted a video on you tube and the link is below.
Does this look normal?
I am about install a stock fuel filter and new lines but that won't make a difference if something unusual is going on inside the tank.

The unused fuel is routed back into the tank by the line which goes to the top of the tank. That's probably what you are seeing. Non issue. _________________ 1980 CB900FA

That's kind of what I thought, but was not sure. |
