Hello, I hope I've put this in the correct section ?

Anyway I cane across a seller on Ebay selling tubes of Optimol Paste White T, starting at 99p.
I know many on here prefer the US blends but I heard of people using this stuff aswell.
You should get it for the 99p as he lists them continually & they seem to sell for the opening bid.(Until now so take turns")
Hopefully this is ok for our K's, I'm sure some techies can give some feedback to whether it is suitable for splines, assembly etc ?

Here's the link :

P.S. I also got some of the spray (Optimol Paste TA) from a bootsale in amongst dozens of other aerosols for a couple of quid.
Though I've already used some HondMoly60 thanks to a kind forum member.
Smile

Hi, Laverda,
The reason most of us went to Honda Moly 60 paste or some other moly paste is that the greases BMW specified just didn't work very well. I don't believe that either Staburags or Optimol has any molybdenum disulfide in the formulations. The tube might be worth the quid being asked, but for what use? I wouldn't use it for spline lubes. You might not be able to source Honda Moly 60 paste in Europe, but there HAS to be some moly paste available there.

Fair point & I'm currently using Moly60 on my splines thanks to John.(SugarHillCTD) I still think of you whenever I lube my shaft John. Wink

Some of the BM suppliers still sell this stuff (Or Castrol equivalent) as the lube to use.
i.e. MotoBins :

Lubing yer shaft seems to be a hot topic amongst K forum members !
Shocked
