OK mister, that's it!!!
*pick up the gauntlet to accept the challenge and wags it at Drake*
I'll need 16 weeks heads up on the date due to work requirements.
And keep your fingers crossed I land a second job to help with saving to make this. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

Hi, All,
I think I'll be out of vacation time what with HMIV, HLIII and (maybe) the Blitz to Branson, but if it's possible, I'm surely going to try to make HDIV, especially if Gwen and Steve can make it. I had a GREAT time while I was there, and my spaghetti fame spread to the Pacific Northwet, too. And let me make this additional announcement. If someone like Gui makes it to the USA and wants to go there (or to HMIV or HLIII), I have 2 running K75's and he would be welcome to ride one, like Junji Yoshida did last March. Yes, El Paso is a long way from Marion, VA or Sugar Hill, NH or the Olympic Peninsula, but it's a great way to see the USA! _________________ Ride Safe,

Ok, I'm thinking hard about this.
I don't have as far as Gwen & Steve to go.
Keep in touch. I'm thinking you most likely go down around
the great lakes no?
Maybe if three's not too big a crowd I'd tag along after you pass West of the big lake.
Maybe we can talk about it at HM in the spring.

You're more than welcome to show up. Take the South Dakota route through the Black Hills area and then any route once you hit The Rockies in MT will be good. Some great riding in ID too. If you've never ridden out this way you need to try it at least once. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The usual date is the first weekend in August. C'mon up.
If you're in CA then just ride up the coast. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

OTG: You have no idea how lucky you are to be moving to CA. (Unless you're going to Fresno or Modesto.) There's so many good roads there. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Yeah I know, n00bs read, ya know.
Might be a while before I get a road bike again. Liquidating everything to buy our first house. I'm desprately trying to hold onto the KTM, but not sure if that's going to be possible.
We don't have an actual town picked out....somewhere 20-30 mins from the water between LA and SD. Rural but not the sticks. Safe. 3-4BR house with a 2 car garage. 225k budget. (they are out there I've looked)
Basically we are going to load up the Saturn with an enclosed trailer and head west May 1st 2011. I'm going to take 1-2 4-month stint jobs and really research areas before pulling the trigger so it looks like we will be buying by early 2012.
Having no kids really means we have the freedom to explore. If only I wasn't a slave to my health insurance/job. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

I met Flying Duck at the Rock Store in Malibu California last week. I was on my new K1600. I missed Hungry Mother this year, but I will be at the Hungry Dungee in August. Not on my K1600 though. It had a final drive failure and I told them to keep it. I am going to buy a K1100RS from Irv Seaver BMW in Orange California tomorrow. _________________ Communique via Garmin ZUMO 665 via HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 via The Spoken Word Talk to Text
