I came across this video game snippet and comment below while surfing on the net last night. Having never been much for pc/video games myself, I'm thinking of checking this one out further. The imagination shown in the snippet is over the top: the landscapes and effects appear surreal, dark, foreboding, and exhilarating; not unlike a Salvador Dali creation coming to life.
What is lurking around each corner?!.......
============
"If you play video games, chances are you're familiar with Bioshock, an outstanding title set in an underwater libertarian dystopia that drew much of it's inspiration from the novels of Ayn Rand.
The follow up, called Bioshock: Infinite, is going to be set in a floating city in the clouds named Columbia. The problems this time around seem to stem from hyper-patriotism, fear of foreigners, and the paranoia that "they" are out to steal your guns and jobs. The city is plastered with propaganda messages that could be taken straight from a Tea Bag rally.
And the gameplay looks jaw-droppingly amazing. Make sure you watch it in HD. Holy mother, I can't wait to play this!"

THANK GOD I'M NOT ALONE! i figured i was the only one young enough to still play games.
some of my current faves--
minecraft is possibly the fastest growing (and highest grossing) indie game ever. the creativity of some people that play the game is insane. just check youtube for some videos of the stuff made in that game.
worms reloaded. the newest entry in the venerable worms series. it is on steam (pc) and is awesome. if you know worms you know this game. if you don't know worms ... why the hell don't you?
and finally, dead space. i love horror survival games (silent hill 2 is the best ever) because of the atmosphere they present. this game has it in spades, on top of an interesting take on the weapons. as penny-arcade puts it, you fire shapes. fantastic execution really. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |
