Several people have asked for individual prices for shipping the RAM shox to the USA.

The cost via secure insured and tracked carrier is £32.

It is unlikely that Pompadour will be instigating another group buy for the forthcoming........he still has a headache from the last one! Not a problem with the product [ see his postings ] but just dealing with the logistics of distribution.

However, if an individual [ or company ] is interested in organising agroup buy - or simply becoming an agent [ ie - earn some money! ] then please contact me to discuss the details.
Over 100 shox now sold in the USA, with a further 220 Worldwide and in the EU.

New shox under development and also front progressive springs to match.

Steve,

I guess this refers to your previous interest in a match up to the RAM rear!

Duck, yes it WILL be the 1100 first as that's the bike I currently have in 1 piece on the road ! ALL the others are in the "project" stage to have been completed this year - ha, ha. Is it just me. or IS the World spinning faster and the years getting shorter?

I have the prototype springs in my K1100RS and as a good back to back as I recently fitted Hagon progressive springs. After I fitted the RAM shock - the deficiencies of the front end were really noticeable. At the time our springs were about 9 months away and I couldn't wait ! BTW - Hagon is a good product, let's see if we CAN make RAM any better [ or cheaper - or both! ]

Good news - a recent US RAM shock customer is SO pleased with his unit that he has contacted me to see about becoming a distributor for the US - watch this space.

Do tell about the springs. Are they "beefier", progressive?

Edit: Never mind on the progressive part. I reread your earlier post.

Do you plan to offer them in various spring rates?

where do i find the info needed to replace the springs in the front shocks? i assume it is just a radius/diameter of the coil and length that i should be looking for. i think mine are kinda soft.

Duck,

we took a "look" at what the current suppliers are offering, and I have the advantage of being able to back to back with the new Hagons I installed 4 months ago, so we have a good benchmark.

With the RAM shocker in place [ stock length on this K1100 ] the bike was kinda ..................not nice on the front end. Put the Hagon's in and that was the final piece of the jig-saw.

That prompted us to think about a compatible front spring offering from RAM. Yes, beefier than stock [ OEM ARE a bit whimpish ], but we will keep the exact spec to ourselves for now - after all development comes at a price!

I'm happy with the RAM prototype front springs and we are now on the second spec set. A retrograde step as we went the wrong direction - ah well, that's why it's called development I guess.

So ............original spec now back in and some serious closed track day testing coming up - by a professional rider I hasten to add !
