Guess the odds are that their product quality is at least one step above their spelling quality
Yellow callipers - ugh. Although I suppose it would work with the purple wheels on the average riceboy vehicle. _________________ David, owner of:

I am convinced that the world is becoming illiterate.
And spell check isn't helping- it wouldn't find any problems on that "break" paint can.
I remember years ago- YEARS ago- being in secondary school and seeing a report by a fellow student, someone who I thought was very intelligent.
Then I saw that he wrote about advances in science, detailing the latest scientific brakethrew _________________ John & Cathy

So totally with you SH, I am obsessed with spelling and grammar, not saying I'm perfect, but even in the companies I have worked for the last 20 years I have insisted on everything from marketing going by me first and there is always errors. I am guilty of doing typos but errors like the above aren't typos, they are ignorance. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man who shouldn't give a fuck but it does upset me
The funniest thing I see is the miss use of the apostrophes' like that....
edit: Hey Rob, I think I spelled that right, not bad after 10 VBs!! _________________ K1100RS '97

It's the basics that are not being taught in schools today. Sad, really. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

That is appalling, I see Brakes being spelled this way frequently on various forums.
For a company such as 3M it's shocking, (they are genuine 3M products aren't they?), am curious as quite literally anything gets knocked off these days and spray paint would be one of the easiest to wangle a few extra pounds on due to brand naming.
I just can't imagine something like that would slip through.
The current level of spelling accuracy is very poor though, Spellcheck and text messaging share a large portion of the blame and evidently poor teaching of the basics likewise. _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, de-briefed or numbered! |

Well drikko remember that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. My understanding of the Queen's English requires there are always errors. It's the plural I believe. I dread to think what has got by you in the last 20 years if this is any indication. LOL. My take on the topic of sloppy spelling and grammar is it is all about communication, if the message being communicated is understood who cares. Just look at the little extra publicity 3M have got here and I am pretty confident every one knows what they are on about.

I don't think it is a 3M product, just a cheap Chinese product pretending to be. I couldn't find any of these paints in any of the 3M websites at all. Might bring it to their attention, after all there was a whole shelf full of the cans in one of our bigger retailers. I also noticed most of the real 3M labeling had a little "TM" next to their logo unlike these.
As for me using "is" instead of "are" DOH! Excuse I'll use is I was half tanked at the time _________________ K1100RS '97
