Let's see- might have some torque (for a bike) but that will be quite the handful with 26 hp Rolling Eyes

Snooze time...................

Before I quit making my own biodiesel and sold the equipment I was kind of hot on the idea of a diesel motorcycle.

Jim,

You are the rennaissance man. What other things are/were you into? Very Happy

Actually there is a company that converts Kawasaki KLRs to use oil. That might be useful.

The World's Only Production Diesel Motorcycle

I can't imagine a K weighing 700+lbs pushed by less than 30hp being anything more than a utility vehicle. Besides I get a consistent 45-48mpg on gas-
The $$$ to fun ratio would be awful on a diesel K. IMHO

Very Happy

The KLRs in use by our milutary in the Near East are all diesels for obvious reasons.,, but I understand they are real dogs ! Diesel for small cars goes great, but a bike is another story ! Just my $0.02...

Regards all......// Ernie-NH ( 90 days and counting down ! )

Aside from the "gee whiz" factor, can't see much practical use with those machines. Unless an overweight, extremely underpowered vehicle suits your fancy.

I think it is pretty interesting stuff - especially the bio-diesel ones. Thanks for the link!
