Hey guys,
A graphic designer friend of mine got hold of a picture of my bike and came up with this design for my K11. Thought I'd share it with you
He's one of those who can't leave anything plain white, hahaha! I think he was inspired by the HP2, those blue wheels are a dead giveaway
And no, my bike is still the same, this is all just photoshop
Chris

I like the looks of the 1st one with the blue wheels, frame.
So when are you getting it done. _________________ Ride safe.

I agree. I have always been attracted to the BMW "Motorsports" (I think that is the name) color scheme. Very nice. _________________ John & Cathy

Hahaha, hmm....tempting. I'll see what my bike looks like after the ride to Chiang Mai in December. If it warrants a new paintjob, maybe...

Hey guys,
Now he's gone and done the front too!!
Must say I like that 'black head' look....it's supposed to be a 'matt' black powdercoat finish, similar to the wheels and underside.
With an additional flush-fitting perspex cover for the front light, and blue wheels

Hi Chris!
I sadly vote against the black fairing head. _________________ Jim

Hahaha, then you're gonna HATE this....I think he was on meth when he decided to sledgehammer a pair of Moto Guzzi Stelvio lights to the front!

Chris,
I was with you on all the permutations- until the projector style lights- you just lost me there.
But this brings up the #1 part of what I find "out of whack" on an RS- the goofy looking recessed headlight- it badly dates the bike to the late 80's. In this respect the LT headlight looks MUCH better.
But your friend is onto something- maybe he needs some stimulants but not as strong and IMHO, ditch the weird vertical eyeballs. _________________ John & Cathy

LOL!!
I knew that last one was gonna get a lot of flak, cos that's what he (the designer) got from me too
Actually, I kinda like the K's 'recessed' headlight, I can't explain it, it just looks cool housed snugly in it's own enclosure like that. But yeah, you're right, very 80's like the Kawa GPZ900 Ninja, remember that? My dream bike back in my school days
And I do also like the K's overall front styling, especially the headlight area, a lot more than say the R1100RS. To me, the K1100RS seems to have a stronger 'jawline' (the area just under the headlight), and looks more proportionate. Then again, styling is very subjective isn't it?
Cheers!

Chris,
That Kaw 900 Ninja had the same effect on me- except that looking back on it now I see Darth Vader.
The K-RS looks like a case of severe dental underbite. I have toyed with the idea of doing a one-off perspex cover to fit flush with the leading edge- like one of the pictures you posted- that looks MUCH better to me.
Thanks for the various pictures and ideas.
