I'd really like to print out the torque specs to hang on the garage wall, but I can't get your file open. Any ideas?

Get rid of your Mac.
Did you try right-clicking and doing a "Save As?"
I can PDF it tomorrow if that doesn't work. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

or even more readily available - use google docs! Just get a google account and upload those files and you will be able to open them anywhere in the world, on any browser (including most smart phones).
speaking of accessability - duck how is anyone supposed to navigate your website that has all your tech pages? I had to send myself an email with the link to the throttle body sync page because it isn't stickied anywhere and your website has no navigation links. Ever thought of starting a community wiki? I bet there is enough knowledge in the group to properly fill and support one. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

Here's a link to my tech page index:

I use my Comcrap hosting for more than just K bike stuff so my index page is what it is for a reason. If I didn't have that dummy page there then browsers would list a file directory which I"m not interested in sharing with the planet.
By the way: Where is that TB synch stuff anyhow? Could you email me the link so I can add it to my index? (Seriously.)

I thought that's why we had K11OG.
Wiki? If I want inaccurate stuff I'll just go to IBMWR or my Clymer manual. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

well, i meant a wiki that was maintained by this group of people. it would be a decent way to aggregate the info and pics into a system a little more sorted than a forum. it may not have to be a publicly open system, you could either just give certain people permission to change articles (as in the folks that actually know about this stuff, not me) or develop a submittal process for changing the info. it could be publicly viewable. just a thought.
and yeah, i guess i couldn't figure out how to get to that page. i just tried to access something like that from just the basic .net address but it just directed to a pic of the red bike. and i guess i missed the "back to tech pages" link at the bottom. i r dum. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |
