As some of you might know, the membership of the New Hampshire chapter of K11OG has had a HUGE 50% increase- there are 3 of us now!
Saltcreek had some nautical chores to look after- but it being a sunny day (you take them ANY way they come in New England) I needed to take a trip over the Kanc' to Whitehorse Gear. Sunny but cold at 8am- 32F
On my way back I met "the new guy", Ernie-NH and his new (to him) LT at the Woodstock Inn for lunch. NICE guy, nice bike.....
Ernie does LOTS of riding, as he is retired (sound familiar, Phil?)
His LT is CLEAN, in very good shape and has a BFD!!
Looking forward to some riding with him and Jim next season. But had to get going and Ernie headed south as I wandered back to S.H.
Welcome to the group, Ernie!! _________________ John & Cathy

BTW, on my way back on the Kanc, around 10:30am or so, I stopped at the top (where we first stopped on the aborted HL Saturday ride). The whole ride over and back was sunny but COLD. At 8am I had the gloves, jacket liner and grips on high.
Yeah, that is snow on the peaks in the distance- winter IS coming

A coveted, highly prized K1100 part. Sought after by the most discriminating current and former K bike owner. Lives have been ruined in the search for it, empires have crumbled. Women and men have risked life and limb to obtain one...........ask OTG.............
Actually BFD is a Black Final Drive _________________ John & Cathy

I rode OTG's FZ1 for a few slower miles (nuts- we found the ONLY traffic in NH)- Scott got more seat time than me. That thing really is very fast and, yeah, probably a cop magnet.
BTW, jp- that is a great looking K. _________________ John & Cathy

Winter? What is that?
Actually it was a chilly 36 degrees here the other morning at 6:00 AM, but it warmed up to 75 (!) by 3:00 that afternoon. Today was a balmy 78 degrees.
Winter schminter! You guys need to come south
(for our overseas members, all temps listed are in Farenheight, as opposed to your purely logical Celcius degrees.) _________________ Steve

huh. Didn't realize a black final drive was so important. Glad I started with one then! Now I just need to clean the bike really well over the winter. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

Yep - get it all shined up to show off at HMSP III !
Some of us get around just fine with a silver final drive. A bfd is a bfd... _________________ Jim

When you and/or some other mid-west K11OG' ers put it together.
That's how the HL started- as simple as that.
Just try to stay away from the other "Hungry" dates- btw, if there is enough interest in doing a HL II we are going to move it to mid-September for weather/temperature reasons. _________________ John & Cathy

Good morning all..
Maybe its time for Ted or one of the Moderators to add a CALENDAR section to the 'home list'. complete with 'meeting site' info, sign-up form and attendee list... This is something we do on the Vulcan Owners forum in order to schedule meet-ups all over North America and advise the membership of upcoming events.... not and easy task I know, but perhaps one we should be aiming for as the membership grows !!
(( just a suggestion ))
