Hi Guys

Can anyone enlighten me to the size of spark plug socket I need to get for a k1100lt 93-94 model.

well, i believe if you have your tool kit, the big socket tool with a white rubber/plastic band around it is your plug wrench. if you don't have that, then on my 93k11rs the socket size was 18mm.

Hi, Andy,
The BMW, NGK and Autolite sparking (note the British term!) plugs all use an 18mm wrench (spanner). If there happen to be Champion plugs in the bike, they use a 5/8" plug spanner. I hope this helps.

If you are like me you didn't get a tool kit. I used an 18mm spark plug socket, but it was too large in diameter to go easily in the head (the walls were too thick). So I used my belt sander and an extension to hold it and rotate it while sanding the outer diameter. Fits great now.
