Motoworks over here sell them as a kit, bad news for all of us, seems there are alot of engines minus the heads available. Going to end up with none available. _________________ 1999 K1100LTIC Smooth and Quiet Cruise, BFD & HID

And here I sit with a bare K1200 head on my bench- just being a paperweight.

I've sold three 4V heads and a set of TBs that ended up in Minis. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

We will end up buying Mini's just for the heads when they get thin on the ground. _________________ 1999 K1100LTIC Smooth and Quiet Cruise, BFD & HID

Me too,
last three engines I sold, the buyer only wanted the heads!
In fact two of them gave me the bottom ends back - for free! One of the buyers took the head back to the US as hand luggage.
Now then - I have two excellent 1100 and 1 x k100 bottom ends and several 2V heads, obvious question, will they fit?

Beachcomber - I think that apart from the bore sizings maybe being a bit bigger on the 1100s - but probably not a problem as the pistons are a flat-top - the kicker will be the valve pockets in the piston crowns?, eg 2 for 2v offset, 4 for 4v...
Also looking longer-term on what to do with the K-RS if the engine ever gets too cranky - probably go for an electric conversion, but have got lots of research to do yet! But - I do have a donor tranny from a friend here for a case (eg paralever mounts, rear frame tie-ups) and output shaft, so when it does come to the`crunch I can theoretically move without burning too many bridges (apart from the money!!)
