Dom - the cabin was fine. The gazebo and firepit appeared to go with the cabin next to ours... certainly not your fault. We will contact the people at the ranger station - not the reservation office - before HMSP III to find out which cabin/s will work best for us next year. You better be there - spring or not! No broken bones - no excuses. _________________ Jim

I landed in Crawfordsville Indiana for the night. I was headed for another rain front and wasn't going to ride thru another downpour this trip!!!!
We probably won't here from Sean for a while till he gets power back, his whole town was out yet.
We road together till London Kentucky.
I had a wonderful time again this year.
Thanks Audi, for the cooking.
Was nice to meet Rich and Phil, and see the others again.
Steve, you'll be back on the road again soon, don't sweat it. _________________ Ride safe.

I made it home in about 6 hours, no problems or delays. It was great meeting everyone and puting faces to the names. It was a good time despite the rain and power outage.
I look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Man if you folks from VA took almost 10hrs to get home it would have taken me well over 12hrs.
Not doable for a weekend trip.
Glad everyone had fun and got home safe.

I mentioned to Jim I'll ride down to HM between in the fall and take pics of several choice cabins so we can make an informed choice for HM 2010.
I ride to S.C. several times a year, so making that little detour wouldn't be any big deal. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

Hi, All,
I made it to Hope, AR last night - 799 miles from HMII. I got up today and rode to my daughter's in Dallas, througth some torrential rain. I'll ride home to El Paso tomorrow. I had a GREAT time at HMII and am looking forward to as GREAT a time at Hingry Dungee I. Thanks to all for making it such an incredible weekend. And the high drama of a snapped U-joint just makes for some more interesting lies, er, stories.

If you look at Rich's post (above yours) - you'll see that he made it home in 6 hours - and he lives a bit north of Baltimore.
I'm dealing with some medical issues right now, and can't ride non-stop from fill up to fill up as I'm used to doing. I also had two detours that took me many, many miles out of the way. My actual ride time was six hours - including the detours. Wuss.... _________________ Jim

Dave- you and I could do a 4 day weekend next year- I could be at your place Friday EARLY a.m. & ride down there. Something to think about 'till late next winter.
