This info is available on the main page of K11 - since most people hang out in the forums, I thought it might be helpful to have a link here. This is for replacement parts - not where to get them. See Drake's sticky below for retailers/dealers.

http://www.k11og.org/reference/KReplacementPartsPage.shtml

substitute oil filter - available from BMW auto dealers: # BM-11421258039 Last time I got some of these, they were Mahle, made in Austria, insignificantly longer than a K filter and now equally as pricey as the motorcycle filter!

These are parts yards - new and used parts and motorcycles:

If you know of any others, send me a pm with the link - I'll add them.

I thought we had a parts sticky already.

Here's my contribution:

1) ME http://smithduck3.home.comcast.net/~smithduck3/kbikeparts/kbikeparts.htm

2) Chicago BMW charges 20% off list prices - but they ship when they feel like it so it can take a few weeks.
http://www.chicagobmwmotorcycle.com/store/index.php?cPath=48

But you need to know the part number - which can be found here at MAX BMW:
http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.asp

3) If you need it fast and are willing to pay retail, I like A&S BMW: http://www.ascycles.com/

4) Bob's BMW is also supposed to be good but I've never ordered from them: https://store.bobsbmw.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=11

I just registered the domain name www.kbikeparts.com so now it's easier to find my parts page. Very Happy

I have had very good luck with Beemerboneyard:

http://www.beemerboneyard.com/1sections.html

I bought a starter and a fender. oh yea, new filters & plugs also

All good. Only thing.. this inventory pix are not always updated but a well organised and comprehensive site.

Also I'll plug Ted Porter @ Beemershop.com

Has an online store. Mostly service, includeing alot of shipped in tranny rebuilds. He put my Marzoochi fork tubes on a lathe after a seal replace. It saved me from replacing the tubes @ $800. Ted is a great craftsman who takes pride in his work without a "Attitude". Great resouse .

BeemerShop is located near Santa Cruz CA.

He sells Ohlins & Wilbers shocks.

Ted put Pressive sprins in my forks when he machined them and later a Wilbers Shoch. Bike feels new

Cheers,

In the 1st post the UK company Motobins is mentioned. They do not dismantle any bike now.

Two other UK companies do, and will send part overseas if required. These are:-

www.james-sherlock.co.uk and www.motorworks.co.uk.

There is not much between them with the second company possibly being the larger. I use both when ever I want sevice kits and spares. The price of used spares varies with the scarcity of what you want, but they are a lot cheaper than new.
