Not the bike, just those crappy little letters that it's a PITA to clean around. I replaced it with a nice acrylic coated convex roundel with gold accent lines. I think it looks much nicer.

Funny...I just bought a replacement "RS" to put on my new windshield to try restore the stock look. I'm having second thoughts now about sticking it on. _________________ Thunderbird 1: '93 K1100LT

I confess to being a fan of debadging - less to distract from the lines of bikes, cars, etc. I believe it used to be possible to order new BMW cars in Europe with the "debadged option." Seems like they only had a couple roundels, no letters or number badging.
Which is why while I like the removal of the "RS," I would forgo the addition of the roundel. I count five roundel badges on a stock RS with luggage (six with topcase). Does it really need one more?
Just my snobby opinion. _________________ tlp

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

My RS came off real easy when I totalled my '89 a some years back.
Believe me that is not the way to do it. _________________ Mike Gullery

I like the RS lettering
Although it, quite hilariously, reads like "Arse" in the UK. _________________ 1992 K1100RS - Red and gold. |

My dad's initials are RS. I gave him the letters and he made a fridge magnet out of them. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
