Has anyone suffered this problem?

The tail light and front side/parking lights have both blown bulbs recently and no longer work with replacement bulbs (not LEDs). I took the switch off the righthand handlebar and was able to make out that power is reaching the switch, and leaving it when in the 'side lights ON' position. A continuity test on the terminals of the front bulbholder made a circuit. To further complicate matters, I use an autoswitch connected to the turn cancel button - the power for the switch itself is tapped from the front parking light supply - (the auxiliary light has it's own power supply and relay in the relay box). My thoughts are a break in the wiring somewhere, or the autoswitch is faulty.

Not an expert in this field, so if anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully recieved.

Investigate the bulb monitoring unit under the tank in the black box. If it goes bad it can do things like that. For instance my front brake light was not working, replaced the switch, no good. Found out it was the unit. Find the unit, pull the wire for that light and jump a hot to it, if it lights the unit is bad. Costs around $70 for a new one.
