Ran stock for a year...was really tired and overwhelmed.

Ran a Fox Twin Clicker for a year. Improvement, but under sprung for my fat ass. Had decent action, but I had to compress the spring so much that it packed up quick and had limited action. 2 up it was nonexistent, and it bottomed out way too much for my liking.

Was just under sprung, period. Once I dropped in the Racetech .95 springs in the front it really highlighted the deficit of the rear shock.

Fast forward to a new world. A world with a Works shock.

The buying experience was better than you can imagine. From order to door in about 7-10 days. 450$ for a shock tuned to my weight and riding style, plus the ability to adjust the ride stiffness and preload.

So yeah, that's all well and good, but how about the ride?

The ride is.....amazing. It feels like I actually have suspension now. 2 up at the softest setting and the shock never bottoms out. There is so much "active" travel it really makes the bike feel.....plush. That's the perfect word to describe it.

Plush.

That's all I got.

I had a Works shock on my last ST. I liked it. It had a piggy-back reservoir design. For some reason, the Works design for the K11 has a remote reservoir. I know there is some difference between the '93's and '94+ models as far as clearances, etc. I spoke with a Works rep a while back and he stated they may be able to retrofit the piggy-back shock from the ST. I'm not sure why they couldn't make a K11-specific model with the piggy-back reservoir like Öhlins for post-'93 bikes.

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

Another note....previously when changing the rear brake pads all I had to do was take off the bottom shock bolt and flex the shock off the bolt and out of the way to get to the caliper.

The Works is so friggin stiff it only has about 1/2" of flex at the bolt thus necessitating loosing the top bolt as well.

Stiff AND plush.

Pwn.

There's nothing wrong with that size pic. Unless you only got a 14" screen. Laughing
