Detail's good Smile but anything over 700 pixels wide puts a scroll bar across the bottom of the screen, and makes reading any accompanying text a real PITA, so much so that where a thread contains large images I don't usually bother trying Crying or Very sad .

640 x 480 seems to be the best 'off the peg' size.

No, I'm quoting what Mr average uses - a 19" monitor running at 1024x768. It's nice if anyone has higher res or larger monitors but most websites are still designed to be viewed at 1024x768 (or occasionally 800x600), and in this environment large images cause problems.

Not trying to be picky or unhelpful here, just saying shouldn't we be catering for the lowest common denominator? 640 x480 pics are still great on a PC screen - anything bigger is unnecessary, and as you have discovered, slows the system down. That may be fine for those with a fast PC, but again...Mr average?.

great pix Johnny - thanx. The first post with the X's in the boxes kind of threw me a little. Had to get the electron microscope out for that last set - but it was worth it - they're great!
