130 miles from home, sunny July on the England / Wales border brought one of the worst downpours of sheet rain and hail I've ever experienced! Didn't have time to take cover nor even stop before I was soaked through. Never mind.. the scenery is stunning and later in the day I stopped here and there on my way to Bangor and Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, (where I used to be at school) to take a snapshot. Sorry about the quality, only had my little camera with me but still...

Just outside Betws y Coed

Same place.. check out the road - famous for bikers over here!

Couldn't you just live in that house?

Finally made it to Bangor

This is looking back from the island (Anglesey) to the mainland over the Menai straights. I'd just come through those clouds!!

Great pics steve, thanks for sharing em!

Strange for some reason I never see the brown/pinstriped LT here in the states, only in other countries.

Great pix's, will need to add Wales on my list of places to ride. Have been reading stories off an on about the Welesh (sp?) police chief has a one man war going on with the motor riders. That there is even talk in the biker community of boycoting Wales, which would mean he wins. Still beautilful country and will make there.

Jim, you'd be welcome to hook up anytime and I'd do my best to show you around.. It's true that the Welsh Wink police in that area of N Wales are looking out for bikers but I guess if you ride in a reasonable way, they leave you alone. There are some crazy characters along that road but I generally move over and let them get on with it. Shocked There are signs here and there reporting how many accidents there have been and, in at least one place, how many of them involved bikers.. sobering stuff.

It's possible that there are that model here, just that I have not seen any.

I did a run up to the Eden Valley reservoir last year - stunning scenery. Popped into Abergavenny(SP?) on the way for the usual sunday bike meet. Great riding up there.

I have that model. I think it was only made in 1997. I have seen about two others and seen pictures of at least one more in the K11OG.

Going back up there this w/e for a few days.. Hoping that the weather will be a little more like summer and less like the prelude to a Biblical Flood Cool
