Just got a new digital camera, one I could handle while riding, and decided to try it out and post some pictures.
Every Saturday morning the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado meets for breakfast in Morrison with several rides taking place afterwards. This Saturday was an organized dual-sport ride somewhere on dirt. The rest of us decided to do a road trip.
So we left Morrison and on up to Echo Lake by Mount Evans then down to Idaho Springs. Up I-70 to Loveland Pass and down to Keystone. Around Dillon Reservoir to Frisco for lunch. From Frisco to Silverthorn and up ihighway 9 to Kremmling. Got gas at Kremmling and continued on highway 40 to Muddy Pass and on into Walden. Highway 14 out of Walden and down the Cache La Poudre River to CR 27 and Stove Prairie Road. Then home.
On Stove Prairie Road about half way through we got stuck behind 5 Hardly Ablesons. They rode like they were the only people on the road. Hard to pass because the road had very few acceleration zones, and I don't like to pass just a few members of a group and then force in between them. Finally got our opportunity and we were gone. The polite thing would have been to move over to the side and let us slip by on the left, but... (I have a passion about HD riders). Any way ... end of rant.
All-In-All a very nice day. Started off with about 15 riders and lost some along the way until it was just down to 2 of us, the hard core. About 380 miles round trip.
Coming into Echo Lake store.
Standing around admiring each others bikes.
Siggi, Gary and Dennis behind Gary.
Trying some pictures while ridding. Don't think I will try this again. This is going around Dillon Reservoir.
My elbow, just to waste bandwidth.
Stopping for lunch. Again admiring bikes.
View outside of Restaurant.
Anne and Siggi.
Kim and Anne.
Don't know this fellow. Has been riding with us only a few weeks. Is much nicer than this photo shows.
Greg.
Bob.
Another person who has just started. He had just purchased a 2002 R1100S for $3700. Everyone was impressed with it.
Me.
Heading east up Cameron Pass.
Along the Cache La Poudre River. A "run of the mill" R1100RT and the best brick "Too Blue".
And a picture for Shoganai. Did this coming down Loveland Pass just before Arapaho Basin ski area.
Come ride Colorado sometime.

Fantastic pics Milt, thanks!
Like Jo, my feet drag before anything else and then I usually get skeered and slow down. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
