Thanks for the pictures of Rattlesnake Grade - it's been on my to do list for a while and I have plans to ride it in the near future.
You need a bigger memory card - and a bigger server. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Lucky us that you have a perfect photografer girl!
That first part of the road, in the first pictures remembers me the road to Valle Nevado, Chile.
Thanks JO.

Johnny, I figured you'd like the Rattlesnake and you picked a good time of year to go as later in the summer it will melt the tires off your rims and all that greenery is brown fire tinder. Great pics! _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

If you're ever in Enterprise, OR for dinner, go to Lear's in downtown and have the Prime Rib. Ask for horseradish if you like it, theirs is really good, will melt your nose hairs. They made some incredible caramel thingie for desert, too. It was the best dinner on my big ride last year by far!
Damn, now I'm hungry for prime rib. Damn you, Johnny O! _________________ M N B

mnb...
its good to know about the prime ribb joint... although red meat kills you know... and a handsome steer gave its soul just so you could enjoy its savory flesh...
mystic red... it wont be long till its all brown... i like it green... see too much brown in california... i was thinking it would be cool up there... but it was in the 90s...
otg... i wish we had something better to show you... but it was too early in the day for a plate of cloven hoofed beast... _________________ yeeeeeehaaaaaaa... |

Pretty country and pretty pictures. Last time I was on that road was almost 27 years ago. I was on my honeymoon driving from Eugene to Moscow for gradual schull at the U of I. Stayed in Enterprise one night and Joseph another. Have since treated my wife to the delayed honeymoon (20 years late), but it was a good one. I have been back into the area several more times for work but never again on highway 3/129.
And speaking of the Evil one. Me and 3 buddies traveled from my home town of Myrtle Point, Oregon in 1974 to see the great one jump into the canyon. What a blast for me. My friends weren't into motorcycles as much as I was at that time, but what fun to be drinking before 21 and the place was a carnival, full of a ton of people just having a good time. Fights, drunks, stoned, trip'en naked chicks everything wrapped up in one spot for some young men (boys actually). I still have the entrance ticket somewhere in my packed away memory boxes. That man had some big ones.

envious... you saw the man... the man with the big ones... light the fuse on the sky rocket...
and equally as important... you saw chicks... chicks all drunked up and tripen neked...
life was good in 74... i remember most of it...
