Hello, KOG friends!
Here we go again, riding in Brazil with my K1100LT.
This time me and my wife, Adriana, went to Belo Horizonte, the capital of the Minas Gerais state.
Near Brasópolis, stopping for a cup of coffe and a piece of cocconut cake, early in the morning.
Climbing the Curral mountains, a iron ore mining.
The KLT is a prfect bike to climb mountais loaded in 5°....
Riding aroun the streets of Belo Horizonte, a city founded in 1962.
A satisfied face of a K11 rider...
This time none food pic, but a little beer (with the bike parked in the hotel), don't hurt anyone.
A wall of cachaça bottles. Cachaça is a sugar cane destilled, typical of Minas Gerais state, used to make caipirinha, a ver popular drink!
More riding scenes.
In front Pampulha church, a Oscar Niemeyer project.
The KLT riders!

Snakes like that ( a anaconda, I suppose), are quite rare around here.
They are more common in Mato Grosso Pantanal, the biggest swamp in the world, in central Brazil.
Some 4 years ago, on a trip to Pantanal, in a car, I saw one anaconda, or Sucuri, crossing the road. I stopped the cae and catch her tail, and she was very calm.
I'll put a pic of that moment, later.
And Ostrch, you can travel safe in Brazil, but thont play with the pets asides the roads...

Scott.
An big anaconda could be very dangerous, more if she was hungry. They are not poisoned, but kill by strangulation. Could weight 700lbs.
I know stories of humans and big oxes devoured by big Anacondas.
But K11 until now I didn't saw...
So, come here and gets your .38 Special with you...

Nice Pics doc!
I love seeing the places other members live. Like he said, I'll never go there in this life, but you take me there thru your camera.
