Hello fellow riders. After spending untold hours lurking about the site I've decided to join up for this season's ride. I've got a 1993 K1100LT that I've owned for 2 1/2 years and 25,000 miles and I'm ready to get back on it.
To escape the harsh Canadian winters I rode my bike along the coast from Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles last November and left the bike there. Later this month (May) I'll be going down to ride it back.
I did manage to get some riding in this winter on my old '83 GL1100 Goldwing but it's just not the same.
Here's the first of many pictures.
Cheers

Great shot! Looks like you were in Joshua Tree land. I understand there are only two places on earth that have those trees. Israel and Southern California. I'm familiar with Landcaster and Quartz Hill, California which has those trees.
BTW, you are not too far from the Seattle area where Flying Duck and I call home. Although Duck seems to spend an enormous amount of time frolicking along the California coast on his LT. In 2006 I rode up from Santa Cruz California to Seattle on my RS. I really enjoyed Hwy 1 and 101 up to Seaside, Oregon. That was well before summer and the typical parade of slow moving motorhomes that dampen the riding fun along the coast. Have a good ride! |
